  • • He has been a keynote speaker on sustainable development and public/private partnerships at international events such as the Mobile World Congress Barcelona, ECLAC’s Political Forum on Sustainable Development or the New Urban Agenda-Habitat III Global Summit in Quito
  • Lecturer in a variety of international Master’s degrees such as the European Business School ESCP, Deusto Business School, Technological University of Buenos Aires, Carlos III University, among others, Member of the Academic Committee of the Master’s Degree in Business Diplomacy of the University of Deusto, and of the Spanish Society of Systemic Thought; he is the author of indexed scientific articles on corporate sustainability and localisation of the 2030 Agenda.

Arjen van Tilborg

Arjen joined the Port of Rotterdam Authority in 2014 and became part of the organisation’s Social Innovation team in 2020. The Social Innovation team focuses on the development of the Labour Market in the port and the connection between city and port. Climate targets can only be achieved if there are enough hands available to work on them. The current shortage on the labour market requires drastic intervention in the labour market. Arjen participates in numerous projects and networks aimed at better matching supply and demand on the Port’s labour market.
Before that, Arjen worked as an HR manager in various organizations and was an independent interim HR manager for 10 years.
Arjen studied in Bristol where he obtained the master degree ma HRM. He also studied change management at Nijenrode. Arjen has always been inspired by Human Capital issues, in which he mainly looked at their practical implementation. Arjen is married and has a daughter and three sons.

Rocío López Picón

Port Authority of Huelva. Head of the Environmental Division.

A degree in Environmental Sciences, Doctorate Programme in Environmental Engineering, Masters in Intermodality and Port Management, with 20 years of professional experience in the port sector. Rocío López Picón is the Head of the Environmental Division of the Port of Huelva. She is responsible for environmental controls over port operations, infrastructure works, and actions developed in the Public Domain, with particular impact on areas such as the energy transition, conservation, and environmental prevention.

Rocío López Picón is a Spanish representative of the Environmental Commission (EnviCom) of the PIANC, and Secretary of the Environmental Sustainability Committee of the Spanish Technical Association of Ports and Coasts (ATPYC).
