Aitor Arzuaga
Aitor Arzuaga (1975) is a Telecommunications Engineer from ETSIIT in Bilbao (1999), and Executive MBA from Deusto Business School (2012). His professional career began in Hewlett Packard, Ericsson and Tecnalia, with several positions of technical and commercial profile. He then moved to the ZIV group in 2002 where he was in charge of the technical side of the company and the development of the Smartgrid product range, and became General Manager of the ZIV Metering division, responsible for LV and MV products, with responsibility for activities in several countries, including the opening of plants in India and France. Following his time at Aclara (Hubbell) as global vice president of technology, in 2018 Aitor was appointed general manager of IBIL, an electric vehicle charging technology and services company in Spain and Portugal, part of the Repsol group. After four years in that position and assisting the remarkable development of the sector, in April 2022 Aitor was appointed GM of ALBA Emission Free Energy, Petronor’s new company for the development of its energy transition businesses. This includes the development and operation of renewable hydrogen production plants, synthetic fuels, waste reuse, and development of renewable energy communities.

Additionally, Aitor is a board member of Edinor SA (part of the Repsol Group) and Elto Iberia SL (part of the Renault Group). Aitor has more than 30 technical publications and 2 patents in the field of smart grids, electric vehicles, and industrial communications. He is a member of the board of directors of the Basque Country Telecommunication Engineers Association, and Senior Member of the IEEE.
