Euskalduna Palace, Bilbao

The 3rd Sustainable Ports Conference, organized by the Bilbao Port Authority, will be held on February 3rd and 4th, 2027, at the Euskalduna Conference Centre in Bilbao.

The Euskalduna will serve as the venue for the congress. This iconic building, inaugurated in 1999, features a structure that evokes the silhouette of a ship under construction, paying homage to the shipbuilding tradition of the Bilbao estuary.

Located in the heart of the city and on the banks of the estuary, the Euskalduna offers direct access to Bilbao’s main attractions. Just a few meters away you can see the Guggenheim Museum, Doña Casilda de Iturrizar Park, and San Mamés Stadium, allowing attendees to enjoy a well-rounded professional and cultural experience during their stay.

How to get there

On foot:

Thanks to its central location, most of Bilbao’s hotels and attractions are within a reasonable walking distance of the Euskalduna, with routes along the estuary offering beautiful scenery.

Metro:

The closest stop is San Mamés, just a few minutes’ walk from the Palace.

Tram (Euskotren Tranbia):

The Euskalduna stop is right next to the Euskalduna Conference Centre, making it the most direct and convenient option.

Bus:

Bilbobus lines 26, 56, and 62 stop right in front of or very close to the Euskalduna Conference Centre.

Renfe / Euskotren Commuter Rail:

The Abando station is about 2.4 km (a 25-minute walk) from the Palace, though from there you can transfer to the metro or tram. The San Mamés station (lines C1 and C2) is also very close by.

Car:

The Euskalduna has its own parking lot (Avenida de Abandoibarra, 4) with direct access from the venue. There are also regulated parking zones (green and blue zones) and nearby parking facilities such as the one at Plaza Euskadi. Whenever possible, we recommend using public transportation due to the limited availability of parking in downtown Bilbao.

The Euskalduna Conference Centre is accessible to people with disabilities, featuring adapted entrances, elevators, and facilities designed to ensure a comfortable visit for all attendees.
